RED HOUSE promotes initiatives against bullying
A specialist in psychopedagogy attended families, staff, and students to guide the entire school community on the subject
RED HOUSE has been promoting a series of actions to involve the school community in combating bullying and promoting an environment that is welcoming to everyone.
The initiative began last November with an online lecture for families featuring specialist Claudia Alaminos.
She is a psychopedagogue and speech therapist graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP), where she also completed a master’s degree in psychology and education.
Claudia is further specialized in parental education with an emphasis on emotional intelligence and works as a parental educator, having already assisted more than 500 families.
With the start of the 2024 school year, Claudia returned to RED HOUSE to conduct a training for the pedagogical team and give a lecture specifically for students in the Middle Years and High School on the subject.
In all lectures, the audience was encouraged to actively participate by raising questions and engaging in discussions. The idea was for the entire school community to leave these meetings feeling better prepared and confident in dealing with cases of bullying and cyberbullying that may occur in school and also in other environments, such as clubs, condominiums, and even at home.
Claudia also informed that on January 15th of this year, the new Brazilian law 14,811 was sanctioned, criminalizing the practice of bullying and cyberbullying and expanding punishment for crimes committed against children.
