Year 9 student earns medal at the National Nanotechnology Olympiad

Award celebrates young talents exploring the frontiers of science and technology in Brazil.

RED HOUSE proudly celebrates another student achievement: Felipe, a Year 9 student from the Villa-Lobos campus, has received the top medal at the Olimpíada Nacional de Nanotecnologia (Onano), an event in Brazil promoting nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Felipe joined the school in 2024 and quickly distinguished himself for his intellectual curiosity and eagerness to embrace new challenges. Motivated by a teacher’s encouragement, his involvement with Onano grew naturally, leading him to participate enthusiastically despite limited prior knowledge.

Felipe’s pursuit of knowledge extends beyond Onano; he has also participated in other academic competitions, including the Astronomy Olympiad and the Kangaroo Math Competition, further illustrating his strong, multidisciplinary academic profile.

“Before joining RED HOUSE, I didn’t really have an effective study method. Here, I learned how to organize myself better and study much more efficiently, and that made all the difference in my performance,” he says.
