Early Years

The start of the school day is one of the most critical moments in early childhood.

Early Years education covers the first cycle of our student's educational journey, which begins in the toddler class when the child is already independent enough to walk. Our Early Years Curriculum (EYC) progresses from Toddler to K3 (Kindergarten Three), K4 (Kindergarten Four), and K5 (Kindergarten Five).

The Early Years Curriculum

Early Years has an International and Bilingual curriculum developed by RED HOUSE.

The start of the Pedagogical Journey is one of the most important moments of Early Years

Childhood marks the beginning of the main milestones in children's development, and the start of the Pedagogical Journey represents one of the most significant moments in this phase of life. To make starting school more relaxed, we offer a well-structured adaptation process, with activities planned so that the student establishes an emotional bond with the teacher and becomes familiar with the new school routine in a safe and welcoming environment.

Play is a fundamental part of the learning process

We encourage spontaneous and planned social interaction between children, and through these interactions, students develop social skills of empathy, respect, cooperation, and self-knowledge.

Sensory and motor skills

At this stage, the sensory aspect and motor skills are continuously worked on. Over the years, Early Years students gain autonomy, expand their knowledge, and learn to express themselves verbally in English and Portuguese through experiences inside and outside the classroom and in contact with nature.

Transdisciplinary approach

In Early Years, our transdisciplinary approach allows children to understand the world in a broader and more connected way by integrating different areas of knowledge. Instead of studying isolated subjects, the contents are related, reflecting what we observe in nature, where everything is interconnected. This integration helps students develop a critical eye and make connections between knowledge, promoting learning that is more meaningful and closer to reality.
