Primary Years Curriculum

Primary Years has an International and Bilingual curriculum developed by RED HOUSE.

Transdisciplinary Approach

Our curriculum is transdisciplinary, which allows themes such as water to be explored in various subjects such as mathematics, science, and language. This approach broadens engagement and helps students relate their learning to real-life situations.

Design Thinking in Education

We incorporate Design Thinking methodologies into everyday school life, stimulating critical thinking and problem-solving and making students the protagonists of their learning.

Literacy in Portuguese and English (Bilingual)

Our literacy process takes place simultaneously in English and Portuguese from the Toddler classes onwards when our students begin to develop oral language and all the other skills involved in language acquisition. From Year 1 onwards, the process becomes more systematic. With appropriate teaching activities for this stage of child development, the bilingual child understands the structures of the two languages and perceives their similarities and differences.

Spanish language

In Primary Years, when students have a good command of English, they begin to study Spanish, which is introduced into the curriculum.
